2018 Rhwddyr Presidential Election
The 2018 Rhwddyr Presidential Election was an Election on the 8th March 2018 to Elect the President of Rhwddyr. It used a system of Instant Runoff Voting.

The Socialist Labour Party

The Socialist Labour Party had a Primary in October 2017 to select their Candidate. The winning candidate was the Soft-Left Eryn Daws.
Democratic Union

The Democratic Union was an Alliance between the centre-right One Nation and the right wing Conservative Party. A Primary was held in October 2017 to choose between the candidate put forward by the Conservative Party and One Nation, who were both selected by delegates at their respective party conference. The Winning Candidate was the Conservative Party's Caerh Llont.
Progressive Alliance
Faech Tictillin
The Progressive Alliance was an Alliance between the left wing progressive parties, the Progressive Democrats and the Enviromentalist Party. A primary of several candidates from each party was held in October 2017, and the Winning Candidate was the Enviromentalist Party's Jo Dirig.
Centrist Rhwddyr
Rhwddyr Shwbyrllin
Centrist Rhwddyr was an Alliance between the centre-left Social Democrats and the centrist Liberal Party. A Vote was held by representatives of local parties from both the Liberals and the Social Democrats between the candidates selected by the party leadership, and the winning candidate was the Social Democrat's Marc Dyfir.

With the final difference between the candidates being about 140,000 votes, this was the closest presidential election in Rhwrhei history. The Final Result was the Election of Caerh Llont of the Democratic Union as the President of Rhwddyr.
